Schaffer’s design centers around a core office space. The open area is ideal for meetings, breaks, office celebrations and more. For teams with multiple departments, communal break and meeting areas like this one can serve multiple purposes while giving co-workers space to mingle, meet or collaborate.
For maximum collaboration, ditch the cubicle. This open layout avoids cubicle walls, replacing them with acoustically optimized felt screens. The screens allow co-workers to communicate easily across the room without sacrificing privacy.
During the office planning process, the Grooms team spends hours consulting with clients to understand their ideal working style—which, in turn, informs their ideal working space. This space was customized for a team transitioning out of the privacy of individual offices, allowing team members to take advantage of several private areas throughout the open workspace.
Greenery in the workplace is a great way to avoid sterility in office environments. For this project, Grooms combined outdoor elements including a living plant wall, earthy finishes and natural sunlight.
